Superior Insulating Barrier

Ardco's Thermal Gard System, incorporated in every Swingline 3 cooler and freezer door and outer frame, reduces heater wattage requirements by 25% - 40% compared to previous models. The design combines the superior insulating characteristics of rigid PVC moldings, dead air spaces and up-front heaters to provide a highly efficient barrier between the cold zone and door front metal.

Swingline 3 cooler doors feature two pane, fully tempered safety insulating glass with dual seal construction. This allows Ardco to warrant its glass against condensation or visual interference between the panes for 10 years. Ardco also warrants its glass against breakage for three years.

A significant feature of the Swingline 3 outer frame is Ardco's exclusive Tandem Mullion. In the front half of its unique design, Ardco engineers removed the typical energy consuming mullion "mass." This enables the mullion to operate condensate free with less energy. The rear half of the mullion is a high strength, double wall roll formed steel channel. Attached, yet insulated from the front half, it strengthens the mullion and also functions as a lamp channel.

As a result of its design, Swingline 3 cooler doors will resist sweating at a relative humidity of up to 63% with the cooler at 38' F and a store temperature of up to 75' F.
